It was an unusual event that spectators were treated to early on Saturday morning, May 30. Over 50 hot-air balloons gathered at Bleienbach airfield at the invitation of the Swiss Balloon Association SBAV for a mass launch to mark the 125th anniversary of the AeCS. In calm conditions, the balloons took off and not only delighted the spectators who had traveled all the way from the airfield, but also provided excitement on the ground during the flight.
